Most of our fire doors are FD30 fire rated which means they can keep a fire at bay for a minimum of 30 minutes if used, maintained, and fitted correctly. This includes using the correct door frame and intumescent strips.  

FD60 fire-rated doors are also available, these offer 60 minutes of fire resistance before the fire can burn through. This fire rating is determined by rigorous testing and checking. When it comes to fire-rated doors there are a few things you need to be aware of. Although the standard door width and door height are usually the same, the thickness will be different. Can you get internal glazed fire doors?

Yes, glazed internal fire doors are available. A glazed fire door will still offer protection. FD30 glazed fire doors are just as effective as our other models, providing a minimum of 30 minutes of protection. Internal fire doors with glass offer safety in the event of a fire incident. A fire door with glass panel helps you create a bright space without sacrificing safety standards.

Fire-rated glazing is specially produced to provide fire protection, so you don't need to worry about the safety of glazed doors. This material is a safe as any other if it has achieved the right fire rating.
