Finishes

We offer oak interior doors that are either fully finished, unfinished or primed. Choose a finished design if you want something that is ready to hang as soon as it's delivered.

Pre-finished

Our pre-finished options have been pre-prepared for immediate installation as soon as they have been delivered. They are ready to hang without any staining, varnishing, or painting. Fully finished interior oak doors are a great option if you don’t have the time or inclination to finish it yourself, but still want to attain that sense of class and allure. 

Unfinished

An unfinished door has not been painted, stained or varnished before delivery to the customer. This means you are free to choose the colour and finish, giving you maximum flexibility when it comes to making sure your oak internal door fits in with the decorative scheme of your house.

Many customers ask if you can leave these doors untreated. This is not advisable, as they become more susceptible to damage from moisture, dust, and stains. It will also invalidate your guarantee if left unfinished. To enhance durability and maintain their appearance, apply a protective treatment like oil or varnish. This ensures longevity and helps preserve the natural beauty of the product.

Engineered Core

Many of our oak doors have an engineered solid core. Engineered doors look just like solid wood. The difference is what's inside. The core is created from layers of timber in contrast to a solid door which is cut from one piece of oak.

These can also be known as internal oak veneer doors because the outer layer or 'veneer' gives the appearance of solid oak. The benefit of engineered doors is a stronger core, increased energy efficiency and there's often a cost-saving too. 

Solid Oak

Solid wood internal doors are just that, cut completely from solid timber. We stock planked doors if you’re looking for that truly cottage look in our home. Constructed from high-quality American white oak timber, these solid light oak internal doors are available in both ledged and framed & ledged door designs.

Glazed

Our glazed oak doors are perfect for anybody trying to brighten their internal living areas. With many glazing options available, our range can complement both open plan homes and more cramped living spaces.

With the light nature of this wood, having excess natural light will really bring about a sense of space and elegance. If you’re looking for a less traditional spin on glazing, you can opt for our stylish clear glass with frosted lines.

Sizes

We offer a variety of sizes starting from 1981 x 304 x 35mm, and going up to 2040 x 926 x 44mm. We understand that not everybody’s door frame is the same size and that as time passes frames warp and shift. That’s why we offer a variety of sizes to suit.

Many of our doors also have generous lippings so you can trim them to get the perfect fit. You or your joiner can plane them down using a hand plane or a power tool like a circular saw. Ensure accurate measurement and marking to avoid errors. A well-planned process ensures a smooth and precise trim, enhancing the door's fit and functionality while maintaining its durability and finish.

Care & Maintenance

Easy to care for, simply wipe down with a damp cloth to clean any dust or dirt. As with any wooden products, it's important to refinish any cracks or chips in the finish to avoid warping or swelling. However, most oak doors are very durable and easy to maintain.
